Terms of Service
These Terms explain the rights, obligations, and responsibilities related to using SLODAY.
Article 1 Purpose
These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Sloday Labs (the “Company”) and members in connection with the use of SLODAY, the Company’s emotion-logging and social-connection service (the “Service”).
Article 2 Definition of Terms
- “Member” means a person who agrees to these Terms, creates an account, and uses the Service.
- “Vibe” means content that a Member records through the Service, including emotions, notes, photos, videos, location, weather, and music.
- “Member Content” means text, photos, videos, audio, comments, messages, and other information that a member enters, posts, or transmits through the Service.
- “Public Content” means Member Content that a Member has chosen to make visible to other Members.
- “Relationship Stage” means a relationship status within the Service that determines available features and content visibility based on interactions between Members.
- “Slo” means non-cash points earned through a member’s activities on the Service that may be used for certain in-service features.
- “Friend Referral” means a feature that attributes a new Member’s registration to an existing Member’s referral code and awards Slo to both Members when the conditions set by the Company are met.
Article 3 Posting and Amendment of the Terms
- The Company posts these Terms in the app and on its website so that Members can easily review them.
- The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- The Company will notify members 30 days before the effective date of any change that materially affects their rights or obligations. If urgent legal compliance or a security response is required, the Company may provide notice without delay after the change is applied.
- For a material change that is adverse to Members, the Company will obtain separate consent when required by applicable law.
Article 4 Service Agreement and Eligibility
- The service agreement is formed when a Member agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and completes registration.
- Members must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- You may not use someone else's information or account or provide false information.
- Anyone registering on or after July 14, 2026 must be at least 16 years old, regardless of country or region. The Company may use the date of birth provided during registration to verify eligibility.
- The previous registration age standard applies to accounts created before July 14, 2026, and use will not be restricted solely due to the change in this age policy even if the date of birth is not registered.
- If a new applicant is confirmed to be under 16, no service agreement is formed and, as a rule, the account and related information created during registration are deleted immediately. If an immediate deletion fails for technical reasons, the Company may restrict access and temporarily process only the minimum information necessary to complete deletion.
- The Company may reject a registration or terminate the service agreement if the applicant is ineligible, uses another person’s information, was previously restricted for a material violation of these Terms, or clearly poses a risk to the Service or the rights of other Members.
Article 5 Account Management
- Members must safely manage their accounts and authentication methods.
- If you discover any unauthorized use of your account, you must immediately notify the Company.
- If the Company suspects that an account has been compromised or that there is a security risk, it may verify the Member’s identity, terminate active sessions, or temporarily restrict the account.
- Members cannot transfer or rent their accounts to others.
Article 6 Contents of Service
The Company may provide the following features:
The specific content and scope of features may vary depending on app version, country, device, relationship stage, and member's privacy settings.
- Emotional and daily records
- Photos and short video recordings
- Emotion timeline and statistics
- Save location and weather at the time of recording
- Explore maps and feeds for publicly available content
- First Greetings between Members, relationship building, and content visibility based on Relationship Stage
- Forming relationships based on questions and answers to quizzes created by members and the correct answers
- Question card game and answer sharing according to relationship stage
- Emoji reactions to vibes, text and voice comments, replies, likes and bookmarks
- Text, photo, voice message and comment
- Exporting timelines, maps, charts, and videos based on emotion records, and generating AI summaries, translations, or feedback
- Today’s Vibe, an entertainment feature that uses information voluntarily entered by members, such as date of birth, time and place of birth, zodiac sign, blood type, and MBTI
- Slo features, including earning Slo through Service activities and using it to view profiles or send First Greetings
- Slo rewards based on sharing referral code, confirming referral attribution, and meeting conditions
- Vibe expiration notification and Live Activity on supported devices
- Other features that the Company may add
Article 7 Slo Points
- Members may earn Slo through activities designated by the Company, such as registering an avatar, generating an AI profile summary, completing voice or face verification, creating a Vibe, reacting to or commenting on another Member’s Vibe, or accepting a First Greeting.
- When the friend referral program is available, the referrer and referred member may receive Slo if the new member meets the displayed requirements, such as creating their first Vibe within the specified period. Self-referrals, repeated registrations on the same device, multiple accounts, and other fraudulent participation may be excluded from rewards or placed under review.
- Members may use Slo for features designated by the Company, such as viewing the full profile of a Member with whom they have not yet connected for a limited time or sending a First Greeting. The specific amount of Slo used, access duration, and applicable conditions are governed by the rules displayed in the app at the relevant time.
- The amount of Slo earned or used, daily reward limits, cooldown periods, and access durations are governed by the rules displayed in the app at the relevant time. Once a transaction is completed, the rules displayed at the time of that transaction apply in principle.
- Slo is neither cash nor electronic money. It cannot be transferred or sold to another Member, pledged as collateral, or redeemed for cash. The Company does not currently sell Slo.
- Slo accumulated through errors, fraudulent methods, automation, multiple accounts or exploiting service vulnerabilities may be reclaimed and use of related functions or accounts may be restricted.
- If a member deletes an account, any remaining Slo and profile viewing rights will be lost and cannot be recovered or transferred to another account.
- If the Company offers paid Slo purchases in the future, it will disclose the price, payment method, validity period, and cancellation and refund terms before payment, in accordance with applicable law and app marketplace policies.
- The Company may change the accumulation amount, usage amount, usage time, limit, and application conditions of Slo at any time according to the needs of service operation, policy, market environment, or function configuration. Changed rules will be applied from the time they are displayed on the app, and changes that significantly affect members' rights and require prior notification under relevant laws will be notified in advance in accordance with Article 3.
Article 8 Emotion records and health-related information
- SLODAY is a general-purpose lifestyle service designed to support emotion logging and self-reflection.
- The statistics, phrases, and AI-generated results provided by the Service are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, consultation, or professional judgment.
- If a member feels there is imminent danger to his or her safety or the safety of others, he or she should not rely on the Service and should seek assistance from local emergency or professional agencies.
- The Company does not guarantee that it will always be able to detect or respond to crisis situations based solely on the information entered by members.
Article 9 Location-based functions
- Features that use precise device location are available only when the Member grants location permission and chooses to use the relevant feature. If device location is unavailable, an approximate location inferred from the IP address may be used as the initial reference point for Nearby.
- The Actual Location is used for the member’s own records. As a rule, public maps display a separate, privacy-protected Public Location.
- Members may continue to use Service features that do not require location access even if they deny location permission.
- Detailed conditions governing the use of Location Information are set out in the separate Location-Based Service Terms.
Article 10 Disclosure scope and relationship stages
- The visibility of member content may vary depending on the member's settings and relationship stage.
- Members can independently set whether or not each vibe is visible. Vibes that are public may appear in your profile's Vibe archive and in the public Vibes view screen even after expiration.
- Finder The map will only show representative records if a member's latest vibe is public and unexpired, and after opening that record, you can view other public vibes from the same member.
- You can use Finder and its messaging features and view other members' vibes/profiles only as long as your latest Vibe is public, has not expired, and has a public location to display on the Finder map. If the conditions are not met, the service may notify you of the reason and guide you in creating a vibe.
- Even when a Member with whom you have not yet connected uses Slo to obtain profile-viewing access, that Member will not gain access to your Actual Location or to content that is not visible to them under your settings.
- Photos and videos may be available as stickers, limited previews, or originals, depending on the stage of your relationship.
- As a rule, the Company does not directly disclose a member’s Actual Location to other members and provides only a privacy-protected Public Location.
- Before making content public, members must check its visibility settings and whether it includes location information.
- When a member changes a Vibe to private, that Vibe and the public locations it contains will stop being visible to other members.
- The Company cannot technically guarantee that content already viewed or saved by another member can be completely withdrawn or removed.
Article 11 Rights to member content
- In principle, the rights to member content belong to the relevant member.
- To the extent necessary to provide the Service, Members authorize the Company to store, convert, transmit, and display Member Content and to make it available to other Members in accordance with the applicable visibility settings.
- This authorization is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service, transform media, apply privacy controls for each Relationship Stage, provide translations, and maintain backups.
- If the Company wishes to separately use member content for advertising materials or AI model training, it will obtain clear consent in advance.
- When a Member deletes content or an account, the Company deletes the relevant content, subject only to legal retention obligations and limited backup retention periods.
Article 12 Prohibited acts
Members must not do the following:
- Impersonating another person or using another person's account
- Harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or stalking behavior
- Disclosing personal information such as location, contact information, and photos of others without consent
- Posting illegally filmed material, sexually exploitative material of children or adolescents, or private content produced or distributed without consent.
- Actions that encourage self-harm or violence or induce specific actions
- Using the Service for pornography, fraud, illegal transactions, or criminal purposes
- Unauthorized collection, duplication, and distribution of other members’ content
- Bypassing the service’s security measures or using unusual automated tools
- Unfairly obtaining Slo or rewards through false activities, multiple accounts, collusion, or exploiting errors or vulnerabilities.
- Acts that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the Company or a third party.
- Other acts that are against laws or public order
Article 13 Reporting, blocking and content actions
- The Company applies a zero-tolerance policy to objectionable content and abusive users.
- Members can report or block inappropriate content or users.
- Blocking immediately removes that user's content from the Member's feed and submits a moderation report to the Company.
- The Company reviews reports within 24 hours of receipt, removes violating content, and suspends or terminates users responsible for serious or repeated violations.
- Based on user reports or the Company’s own review, the Company may temporarily hide or remove content or restrict an account.
- The Company may act without prior notice when it identifies an urgent safety risk, illegal content, or repeated violations.
- Members may appeal a Company action by contacting [email protected].
- In principle, the Company does not disclose the identity of the reporter to the person being reported.
Article 14 Restrictions on service use
The Company may restrict all or part of the service in the following cases:
If possible, the Company will inform you of the reason for the restriction and how to appeal.
- The Member violates these Terms or applicable law
- The Member creates a risk to the Service or the safety of another Member
- Account compromise or abnormal use is suspected
- In case of system maintenance, failure, disaster, or external service interruption
Article 15 Account Withdrawal and Deletion
- Members may request account deletion at any time by going to their account settings in the app.
- Once account deletion is complete, the account and related personal information, excluding information that is required to be preserved by law, will be deleted.
- The deletion screen and Privacy Policy explain in detail how messages and interaction records sent to other members are handled.
- Before deleting an account, members may back up necessary records using methods provided by the service.
- A one-way identifier hash used to prevent duplicate referral rewards and misuse, referral-processing status, and records subject to statutory retention requirements may be retained on a limited basis for the purposes and periods stated in the Privacy Policy.
- When an account is deleted, any remaining Slo, eligibility to earn or use Slo, and active profile-viewing rights also expire.
Article 16 Service changes and termination
- The Company may change any part of the Service if operational or technical reasons require it.
- If the Company terminates the Service in its entirety, it will generally provide 30 days’ advance notice and explain how Members can back up their records.
- Separate procedures prescribed by location information-related laws apply to the suspension or closure of location-based services.
Article 17 Intellectual property rights
Rights in the Service’s design, software, trademarks, logos, and Company-created content belong to the Company or the applicable rights holder. Members may not reproduce, modify, sell, or commercially use those materials without the Company’s prior permission.
Article 18 Limitation of Liability
- The Company is liable under applicable law for damage caused to a Member by the Company’s intentional misconduct or negligence.
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by reasons beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, communication failures, and app store failures.
- The Company is not a party to meetings, conversations, or offline activities between members and does not guarantee the results of relationships between members.
- This Article does not limit any of the Company’s liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law.
Article 19 Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- If a dispute arises, the Company and the member negotiate to resolve it amicably.
- If a dispute cannot be resolved through consultation, jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act and other applicable laws.
Supplementary provisions
- Changed on July 14, 2026: We added criteria for new members to be 16 years of age or older worldwide, criteria for converting existing accounts, and criteria for deleting new accounts under age.
